Workshop for adopting the GMU-based NSF spatiotemporal hybrid cloud service by geoscience

On Mar.29, 2016, the first workshop for adopting the NSF hybrid cloud service is conducted at San Francisco in conjunction with the AAG annual meeting. ~25 participants went through the hands-on workshop and started migrating their geoscience research onto the cloud. The research covers broad spectrum of ocean science, land, atmospheric, air quality, public health, social, and polar sciences. There are currently ~50 geoscience academic research projects supported by the cloud service. We will arrange similar hands-on workshops at the annual meeting of AGU, ESIP summer, EarthCube All-Hands, etc. Regular virtual meetings are also arranged for the community to adopt the cloud services for their research.
